Horsehair
Made from the tails and manes, horsehair is used in a wide
variety of brushes. The tails produce
the stiffer grades while the mane hair is soft. Both
are produced in either black and grey.
Polypropylene
Highly resistant to petroleum solvents, acids, caustics
and detergents, and are available in a
variety of diameters and colors. Used in acid brushes, garage
floor brushes, and black-top coater
brushes, and is not affected by acids.
Tampico Fiber
A vegetable fiber obtained from the Argava
Lechuguilla cactus which grows wild on mountian
slopes in Mexico. The natural color
of the fiber is cream color. Tampico fiber is obtainable
in
natural color and mixturs of different
dyed colors. Tampico is used in floorsweeping brushes,
acid brushes, counter dusters, and many
others.
